Senior Backend Developer, September 2012 – March 2013

My task was improve already existed Backend API server written on Python with PostgreSQL database storage behind. Project http://www.citizen.tv/ was video hosting service similar to Youtube with additional functionality for art people. I mostly work with the internal stuff of API server made several big refactors and optimization that helps scale project and made it more stable and faster.

CTO, October 2011 – March 2012

At first I setup new office for Moscow (Russia) based company and gathered two teams of mobile and social apps development. Then lead the team of python engineers and we created the robust cloud-like platform for social apps. Requirements were big grows if the application goes viral and become popular. Also, we created the framework to simplify social app launch for different social networks (Facebook, Vk.com, others). We used the API-like approach on the server side with JavaScript rich client in the browser. Also, my task was to create that team from scratch.

Main project: Experika.com

Team recruiting and setup, setup of team communications, coaching. After the launch of development, my primary fields was team leading, project architect building, code scaffolding, deployment scripts. Product requirements writing, user feedback analysis with following UX improvements, UI requirements and mockups design. Part time coding.

We created from the scratch in-house framework that works in the restricted environment of Google App Engine. Server side was the API-like interface for complex GWT client side with rich application interface (Gmail-like).

I'm a project manager and CTO (with development background) with more than 10 years of experience in high load and long-term projects. Professional goals are the long-term collaboration with product IT company with a target market in US, Europe and Asia. Last 8+ years I primary work with startups, organized and build from scratch several teams that were able to deliver product in short time. I've been working with local and global market projects located in Ukraine, Russia, Thailand, USA.

I have the unique set of skills: I'm great in the understanding of problems and understand how things work inside. Also, have good soft skills in communication and understanding how and what drive each of team members. I'm a natural leader and know how to motivate people to solve problems.
