CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International CySEC Licensed Investment firm, we are seeking to recruit a Russian-Speaking Legal Advisor to join their expanding team of professionals based in Limassol.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and directives issued by CySEC.
- Manage the compliance function and ensure that the staff receives adequate training to successfully manage compliance risks.
- Prepare, review and submit to CySEC all compliance mandatory reports.
- Prepare new and/or update existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CySEC regulatory requirements.
- Analyze regulatory developments, new compliance legislation and market developments.
- Perform KYC and client onboarding procedures.
- Keep AML/Compliance internal database and records up to date.
- Implement and coordinate corporate restructuring and M&A projects.
- Draft legal documents (M&AA, SHAs, SPAs, subscription agreements, loan agreements, POAs, corporate resolutions, etc.).
- Coordinate external lawyers, tax consultants and other service providers (administrators, agents, banks, secretaries, etc.).
- Prepare memorandums.
- Coordinate incorporation, reorganization and liquidation of clients’ holding structures (companies, trusts, foundations).
- Collect and submit documents for KYC procedures.
- Budget expenses incurred in connection with the activities of clients’ holding structures.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
- University degree in Law.
- 2+ years of experience in legal or compliance function.
- Fluency in Russian and English is essential (Written & Spoken).
- Excellent writing, communication, coordination and legal drafting skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a CySEC regulated investment firm will be considered an advantage.
- Holder of CySEC any Certifications will be considered a plus.
